Indian port-wise steel exports in FY ’21 aggregated to 1,27,33,653 t compared to 63,74,301 t in the last fiscal, as per bulk shipments data maintained with SteelMint. Better realization from the overseas market and the subdued demand in the domestic market amid COVID-19, mills focused on liquidating stocks abroad.
Port-wise exports are mentioned below-
- Paradip port stood at 27,04,199 t in FY ’21, increased significantly by 119% y-o-y,
- Mormugao port stood at 15,47,516 t t in FY ’21, up by 60% y-o-y,
- Dhamra stood at 12,30,364 t and Haldia stood at 14,09,531 t, moved up by 31% and 128% respectively.
