Bulk Japanese scrap (H2) offers for Vietnam have risen by $35/t compared to the offers assessed towards the beginning of this week. Currently, the H2 offers are heard at $520-525/t CFR Vietnam, SteelMint learned. Japanese scrap export offers were expected to increase after a sharp hike in bids seen in the monthly Kanto scrap tender. Few sources also indicated a bulk US HMS (80:20) cargo booking at $545/t CFR Vietnam, however other details could not be confirmed till the time of publishing this report.
