Heavy structure steel price in Raipur – one of the major supplying markets in central India, declined by INR 500/t, SteelMint learned from trade sources. However, the same on a w-o-w basis dropped by INR 200/t. The current offer for 150 mm channel stands at INR 47,000/t. The manufacturers also offer trade discounts depending on booking quantity and payment terms. Weak demand for structural steel in the spot market and rising inventories at the mills have resulted in drop in prices, sources shared.
