India: Melting scrap prices remain supportive on inadequate supplies

Steel melting scrap prices remained supportive today, rising by up to INR 300/t. However, prices in a few markets remained range-bound on limited segregation process. Lower offers pushed buyers to raise their bids as per requirement, particularly in the western market (Gujarat) where offers and bids varied by around INR 500-800/t. Prices in the near term may see minor corrections in Western region (Alang), trade channels reported to SteelMint.
