The leading two and three-wheeler manufacturer-TVS Motor Company Limited, has registered sales at 238,983 units last month, down 26% m-o-m against Mar ’21. Domestic sales in April were lower due to lockdown in many states. However, the Company has reduced dealer stocks to support channel partners and will produce to maintain adequate inventories for customer demand when it reopens.
Sales Highlights for April ’21:
- Total two-wheeler sales were registered at 226,193 compared to 3,07,437 units in Mar ’21, down 26% m-o-m.
- Scooter sales stood at 65,213 units while motorcycle sales were at 133,227 units over March, down 38% and 15% m-o-m respectively.
- Total exports declined by 10% m-o-m to 107,185 units.
- In the three-wheeler segment, the automaker posted 16% m-o-m de-growth at 12,790 units.
