Thailand: Ferrous scrap imports remain stable in Mar’21

Thailand’s ferrous scrap imports remained largely stable on an m-o-m basis and stood at 0.12 mn t, as per customs data maintained with SteelMint. Australia became the top exporter and exported 0.01 mn t of scrap, followed by Japan and USA. However, compared to Mar’20, scrap imports have fallen by 33% on increased billet imports which rose by 31% y-o-y in Mar’21.
