Manganese Ore Market is under pressure due to the weak Manganese Alloy prices. Although, the big miners are still reluctant to reduce the prices for High Grade Manganese Ore for June shipment, the prices for 37% Carbonate Ore from South Africa is now being offered in the range of USD 5.10-5.15/DMTU for June shipments down from the earlier offers at USD 5.40-5.50/DMTU on CIF Indian Port basis.
Manganese suppliers are under pressure to reduce the prices for the High Grade Manganese Ore but no there has been no confirmed news yet for any price reduction. Weak Ferro Alloy market has created the pressure on miners to reduce the price which will again depend upon the Chinese demand for Manganese Ore, which is expected to be low as well, in line with the falling Manganese Alloys prices in the region.
However, the stock of Manganese Ore in India is still minimal with the Manganese Alloy producers, as supply of domestic ore is restricted. Local miners based in Balaghat, central part of India, offering Manganese ore at

Mn 30-32%= Rs 7,000-7,200/t
Mn 34-36%= Rs 8,500-8,700/t
Mn 38-40%= Rs 10,500-10,700/t
Mn 40-42%= Rs 11,500/t
Mn 42-44%= Rs 12,500/t
All prices incld royalty and other taxes on ex-mines basis
