Australia: Iron ore export shipments rise by 20% m-o-m in Mar’21

Australia – the world’s largest iron ore exporter has recorded iron ore export shipments of 73.68 mn t for Mar’21. Shipments picked up by 20% on monthly basis against 61.07 mn t in Feb’21, according to the vessel line up data maintained with SteelMint. With lesser disruption from seasonal factors seen in Mar ’21, exports witnessed an increase. Shipments to China increased by 19% m-o-m in Mar’21.
