Steel mills based in Maharashtra and Karnataka are reportedly facing a shortage of oxygen at their alloy steel plants and stainless steel plants. Keeping in view the Oxygen supply crisis amid rising COVID-19 cases in the states, the government is diverting oxygen supply for medical usage and urging steel mills to do so. Several steel mills including Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel have come forward to help the government with the supply of oxygen during this crisis.
