Imported scrap prices in Turkey have moved north by around $5 in recently concluded deals, sources have confirmed to SteelMint. A black sea region-based steel mill has booked USA origin bulk cargo. In a recent deal booked, the cargo comprised 13,000t of HMS (80:20), 3,000t shredded, and 15,000t bonus at an average price of $439/t CFR Turkey basis. The booked cargo is likely to be shipped in the second week of May’21.
