Japan: Ferroalloys imports down by 26% m-o-m in Feb’21

Japanese ferroalloys imports decreased by 26.4% m-o-m in Feb’21. Production cuts in South Africa and increased prices are the major factors behind the decline in Japanese ferroalloy imports. Moreover, the fall in Ferroalloys imports by Japan can be attributed to lower crude steel production in the said country, down by 5.6% from Feb’20, as per World Steel Association.
