Indonesian thermal coal prices rise for the second consecutive week

Indonesian thermal coal price for the popular grade, 4200 GAR moved up by $4.7/t to $43.9/t, FoB basis. The rise in prices in the last two weeks can be attributed to increase in demand from China on account of lower hydropower availability, railway maintenance at Datong-Qinhuangdao, closure of inner-Mongolia borders amid rising COVID cases and safety inspection of mines.
