Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group, the largest producer of Stainless steel in China has reduced the purchase price of HC ferrochrome in Apr ’21 by 350 yuan/t to 8,350 yuan/t ($1,274/t) for HC 50% min, delivered including tax. The reduction in prices can be attributed to lower stainless steel prices from a month ago. Meanwhile, reduced production of ferrochrome led to a lesser than expected fall in the purchase price.
