Coal India Limited (CIL) has produced around 462.5 MnT Coal during FY14 and missed its target by 4%.
In view of estimated target, CIL has achieved only 96% of his assigned target by producing around 462.5 MnT Coal. In comparison to last fiscal, CIL production has increased by 2.3%.
It is noted that only 2 subsidiary companies ECL & BCCL have achieved the target, whereas other companies have performed below the target. Consortium’s major production has been affected by below target production of MCL. It has produced around 110 MnT and missed production target by 8%. CIL’s official has mentioned earlier that company may incur production shortfall as it was affected by Phailin Cyclone and Law & Order issues which affected almost 10 MnT of Coal production.
CIL’s all subsidiaries production has grown from last year, except two companies namely NCL & WCL, which produced 68.6 MnT and 39.7 MnT respectively. Production of NCL & WCL has also declined by 2% and 6% respectively from last year.
CIL’s largest producing subsidiary SECL achieved almost 100% target and produced 124 MnT of Coal; also registered 5.1% annual production growth.
CIL’s misses Offtake of 20.5 MnT
CIL achieved only 96% of its offtake target and recorded 471.5 MnT offtake in FY14. However, compare to last year its offtake has improved by 1.4%.
ECL & BCCL’s offtake was more than 100% (103%), delivered 36.22 MnT and 34.1 MnT respectively. CCL, WCL and SECL have achieved offtake target of 91%, 91% and 93% respectively.
