Govt. owned – Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 10,000 t manganese ore slag on 24 Mar ’21 from its Chandrapur Ferro Alloy Plant, Maharashtra. The entire quantity offered was booked at INR 500/t. The manganese ore that was put up for auction was old dumped contaminated mixture of granulated low MnO slag with earth materials.
