SAIL conducted an auction for 5,700 t (2,850 t x 2 rakes) of basic grade pig iron on 22 Mar ’21 from its Bokaro Steel Plant, Jharkhand. Entire quantity was booked at INR 34,550/t exw, sources reported to SteelMint. Bids moved up by INR 350/t as compared to the previous auction conducted on 10 Mar ’21 for three rakes which was concluded at INR 34,200/t exw. Competitive offers compared to prices of other private players have resulted in increased bids in today’s auction.
