China’s top steelmaking city – Tangshan is likely to implement stricter production curbs in the coming days as the air pollution level in the region is deteriorating with each day, mainly due to the negligence of few steel mills in implementing the air pollution control measures. According to a recent notice, the office responsible for air pollution prevention in Tangshan has ordered seven steel mills to cut their production by 50% and the other sixteen mills to cut emissions by 30%.
