In a confirmed deal, 3,000 tonnes of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) coal has been sold at INR 6,300/t, ex-Mangalore, ex-Gangavaram prices are assessed at INR 6,200/t and ex-Paradip at INR 6,250/t. Prices across ports have increased this week due to rise in API4 index amid Transnet’s locomotive issues and resulting material shortage at RBCT port.
