Jindal SAW Ltd has increased its pellet offer by INR 400/t. The current offer for Fe 63% grade pellets stands at INR 14,200/t DAP Kandla, SteelMint learned from sources. The prices have increased against INR 13,800/t assessed since end Feb’21. The company has a pellet plant of capacity 1.2 mn t pa in Bhilwara and is a key source of raw material to Gujarat-based plants. Western India-based mills continue to prefer domestic ore over imported ore due to cost-effectiveness. Offers for imported South African lump to India are assessed around $201/t, CFR Kandla.
