Indian chrome ore miner, OMC has increased the base price further by 23% m-o-m for the upcoming auction on 15th Mar ’21. The increase can be attributed to rising ferrochrome prices. Most buyers were cautious of booking material from OMC last month due to a sharp increase in prices. However, the buyers are now low on inventory and almost compelled to accept even higher prices.
