Tata Metaliks Ltd (TML) has concluded a tender for a rake (around 2,200 t) of foundry grade pig iron at around INR 42,100/t FoR Punjab (Phillaur). The prices rose sharply in today’s tender as against its last tender held during the third week of Feb’21 which was settled at around INR 41,600/t FoR Punjab. Pig iron prices in the Indian market remained strong on account of good demand for exports. Currently, the spot trade price of foundry grade pig iron in Punjab is reported at INR 42,800-43,000/t FoR Ludhiana.
