Govt-owned steel mill – SAIL conducted an auction for 4,000 t basic grade pig iron today from its IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur. The entire material got booked at a weighted average price of INR 34,300/t exw, sources reported to SteelMint. The bid price increased by INR 2,350/t compared to the previous auction conducted on 16th Feb. The last auction for 2,200 t fetched bids at around INR 31,950/t exw.
