NMDC continued to be the leading iron ore producer in India during Jan’21, recording a stable performance m-o-m at 3.86 mn t, as per the data maintained with SteelMint. Steel PSU SAIL emerged as the second-largest producer with 3.25 mn t. JSW’s iron ore production fell by 5% m-o-m due to slight fall in volumes from Odisha, whereas Tata Steel recorded 30% m-o-m growth. Both the miners produced 3 mn t in Jan’21.
