RB2 (5500 NAR) coal portside offers are up today to INR 5,5650-5,700/t ex-Gangavaram in line with API4 index rise of $3/t d-o-d. However, no trade has yet been heard at this rate despite the rise in sponge iron prices as market participants believe that the increase is not demand driven but due to lesser supply of sponge iron in the market. RB2 was last assessed at INR 5,500/t ex-Gangavaram.
