Japan’s leading EAF mill – Tokyo Steel has announced its first scrap purchase price hike today for Mar’21. The company has lifted bids by JPY 500/t ($5) for all five plants. The company would pay JPY 41,500/t ($388) for both H2 scrap delivered at Tahara and Utsunomiya works, effective from 2nd Mar’21.
