SAIL concludes 40,000 t mill scale sludge auction from Bokaro

State-owned steel producer SAIL’s auction of 40,000 t mill scale sludge from the Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand on 24 Feb’21 witnessed the allotted quantity getting booked at INR 2,500/t (ex-works), SteelMint gathered from sources. The last auction of similar quantity held on 28th Jan fetched highest bid at INR 5,600/t but for some reason it was not concluded.The auction, approved by the management of Bokaro Steel Plant, was conducted on an “as is where is” basis with a lifting period of 15 months.
