SAIL conducted an auction for 8,550 t (2,850 t x 3 rakes) of basic grade pig iron on 24 Feb ’21 from its Bokaro Steel Plant, Jharkhand. Due to some reason, the company withdrew one rake from the auction and auctioned only two rakes (5,700 t) that received bids at INR 33,150/t exw, sources reported to SteelMint. Bids inched up by INR 350/t as compared to the previous auction conducted on 17th Feb in which a single rake was booked at INR 32,800/t exw.
