Raipur billet demand continued to remain active among local re-rollers as well as outside buyers. SteelMint recorded about 5,250 t billet trades yesterday, in which about 2,000 t deals have been confirmed for Hyderabad, Southern India, at an average price of INR 36,500-800/t exw, equivalent to INR 38,300-500/t FoR Hyderabad, while local plants in Hyderabad are selling the same at approx INR 39,000/t FoR Hyderabad. Today, billet prices in Hyderabad are expected to rise further which may also result in increase in prices in Raipur, trade sources reported to SteelMint.
