US Produced Around 16.87 Million Tons (MnT) In Last Week

The world’s second largest coal producer United states has produced around 16.87 Million Tons (MnT) of coal in a week (For the week ended June 1, 2013). US’s coal production increased by 0.54% the week ended June 1, 2013 compared to the previous week production of 16.78 Million Tons (MnT).

This production estimated is 0.40 % higher than the last week's estimate and 1.10% lower than the production estimate in the comparable week in 2012.

East of the Mississippi River produced totaled 7.16 Million Tons (MnT) (down by 1.24 % week on week)  and west of the Mississippi River produced totaled 9.70 Million Tons (MnT) (up by 0.94 % week on week).

U.S. year-to-date coal production totaled 367.95 Million Tons (MnT) 5.50 % lower than the comparable year-to-date coal production in 2012.

US Produced 75.29 Million Tons (MnT) of coal in month of May 2013.

U.S. coal production totaled approximately 75.29 Million Tons (MnT) in May 2013. The May 2013, production estimate is 1.50 % higher than the same month in 2012. Coal production in east of the Mississippi River totaled 32.56 Million Tons (MnT) and in west of the Mississippi River totaled 42.72 Million Tons (MnT) in May 2013.
