Turkey’s steel production rises by 9.2% y-o-y in CY’20

Turkey’s total steel production was recorded at 36.8 mn t in the year CY’20 against 33.7 mn t in CY’19, Erdemir Group reported in its CY’20 annual report. Country’s long steel output increased by 14% y-o-y, however flat steel output rose marginally to 13.9 mn t. Steel consumption in Turkey increased by 13.1% to 29.4 mn t against 26 mn t in CY’19.
