JSW Steel had scheduled an e-auction today through MSTC for 300,000 t iron ore. The material put to auction was low grade (Fe 55-58%) iron ore fines from Jajang mines in Odisha. The base price of the auction was set at INR 1,500/t ex-mines. According to market sources report to SteelMint, the entire quantity remained unsold.Notably, the auctioned material was only for self-consumption by end-user and was not allowed for exports.
