Indian chrome ore miner, OMC has increased the base prices by an astonishing 82% m-o-m for the upcoming auction on 10th Feb ’21. The increase can be attributed to the continuously increasing ferrochrome prices as economic activities increased worldwide. Owing to this increase in chrome ore prices, the production cost of ferrochrome will increase by approximately INR 20,000/t.
