According to customs data, Brazilian manganese ore exports went up by 29% to 2,70,907t in Jan ’21 mainly due to increased exports to India and Mexico. Meanwhile, due to high inventory and the downstream market conditions, Chinese buyers were resisting high-cost manganese ore. The major exporters from Brazil were Vale and Buritirama mines, and most of the exports from Buritirama were to India.
