Imported scrap prices in Turkey have dropped significantly by $15 towards the closing of the week, sources have confirmed to SteelMint. In recent trade, a UK based scrap recycler sold a bulk cargo to a Mediterranean region based steel mill. The cargo comprises entirely 18,000 t of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $387/t CFR basis. SteelMint’s assessment for HMS (80:20) now stands at $393/t CFR Turkey, down by $25 w-o-w.
