In today’s ICI4 index, the popular Indonesian 4200 GAR coal has recorded a fall of $7.2/t against last week to $39.5/t, FoB basis. The Indonesian coal price rally came to a halt once the Chinese demand retreated ahead of Lunar New Year holidays. There are also strong rumours in the market that China would once again allow Australian coal imports post Mar’21 thereby limiting the demand for Indonesian coal.
