Mining giant, Glencore’s coal production in 2020 stood at 106.2 mn t, against 139.5 mn t in 2019, mainly reflecting pandemic’s impact via stopped or reduced work in Colombia, South Africa, extended care and maintenance at Prodeco and market-related supply reductions in Australia in H2 2020. The company has kept its production guidance intact at 113 mn t (+-4 mn t) for 2021.
