Raipur, one of the major heavy structural steel supply markets in central India, has witnessed a sharp decline in offers by INR 1,000/t d-o-d, SteelMint learned from trade sources. The current offer for 150 mm Channel stands at INR 38,500/t exw. A continuous fall in semi-finished steel prices and weak demand for structural steel have resulted in the drop in prices.
