Chinese mills have been actively booking bulk scrap cargoes after restrictions have been lifted early this year. In a recent deal, two Japanese cargoes have been booked in lots of 3,000 t and 2,000 t. In another confirmed deal heard from SteelMint sources, a bulk US cargo comprising of around 32,000 t of shredded has been booked at around $430/t, CFR.
