Brazil world’s second-largest iron ore exporter recorded export volumes of 343.03 mn t in CY ’20, up 2% as against 334.7 mn t in CY ’19. This included fines/lumps at 327.11 mn t and pellet at 15.92 mn t. China stood as the largest importer during the year at 248.45 mn t, up 22% y-o-y, while Malaysia was the second largest at 22.94 mn t followed by Japan at 11.53 mn t and Oman at 7.77 mn t.
