India: Maruti Suzuki posts 4.3% y-o-y growth in sales in Jan ’21

The country’s largest automaker- Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), has registered total sales at 160,752 units in Jan ’21 led by utility vehicles, compact segment, LCVs and Vans, up 4.3% y-o-y against 154,123 units in Jan ’20. Domestic sales remained almost stable at 142,604 units while exports rose by 29.3% to 12,445 units. Total passenger vehicle sales declined by 6.9% y-o-y to 103,435 units compared to Jan ’20.
