Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has approved the much-awaited scrappage policy in the Budget 2021 to phase out old vehicles. This new scrappage policy aims to reduce vehicular pollution. The vehicles will have to undergo a fitness test for 20-year-old personal vehicles and 15-year-old commercial vehicles.
