EVRAZ: Crude steel output remains almost flat y-o-y in CY’20 despite pandemic

EVRAZ – one of the largest integrated steelmakers in Russia, has reported its consolidated crude steel production at 13.63 mn t for CY’20, largely stable against 13.8 mn t in CY’19 despite challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Its crude steel output rose by 7.4% q-o-q in Q4’20, mainly due to higher production volumes at EVRAZ NTMK following the completion of scheduled capital repairs during Q3’20, as well as improved production volumes at its North America facility, which grew by 26.6% q-o-q.
