Japan’s Tokyo Steel slashes scrap purchase price for four plants

Japan’s leading EAF mill – Tokyo Steel has lowered its scrap purchase today for all four works except Utsunomiya. The company would now pay a price of JPY 38,500/t ($368) delivered at Tahara. Notably, the price for Tahara is lowest since 11th Dec’20, as per data maintained with SteelMint.
