Govt. owned – Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for around 1,000 t silico manganese (0-3 & 3-10mm) on 28 Jan ’21 from its Chandrapur Ferro Alloy Plant, Maharashtra. Base price was set for INR 47,840/t (0-3mm) and INR 59,960/t (3-10mm) but buyers showed no interest and the auction closed with no bid. In the previous conducted auction on 08 Jan ’21, nearly 900 t was booked at INR 45,850/t for 0-3mm size and 3-10mm was booked at INR 55,750/t ex-works.
