TATA Steel has cancelled the ferrochrome auctions which was scheduled for 22-Jan for 1,200 tonnes. The company expressed to SteelMint that they are facing challenges in fulfilling existing orders, which prompted them to call off the auction. High carbon ferrochrome (60% Cr) prices have risen by INR 15,000/t w-o-w to INR 95,000/t ex-plant basis.
