Govt owned steel mill – SAIL conducted an auction for 2,200 t basic grade pig iron today from IISCO, Burnpur. Entire material was booked at INR 33,150/t exw, sources reported to SteelMint. Bids declined by INR 1,750/t as compared to the previous auction conducted on 13 Jan. In another auction conducted from SAIL-Durgapur, 600 t pig iron was booked at INR 33,550/t exw and that from Bokaro closed with no bid.
