Inquiries for Imported offers for South African lump to India remain low amid continued high global prices. The current assessment for imported lump stands at around $185-187/t, CNF Kandla, largely stable w-o-w. Mills continue to prefer domestic ore amid cost effectiveness. The global iron ore fines (Fe 62%) index was assessed at $172.8/t, CNF China (assessed on 15th Jan), up by around $2/t w-o-w.
