Ferrochrome transaction prices in China’s major alloy producing region – Inner Mongolia are at around RMB 7,100/t Ex-works. Prices increased by RMB 300/t d-o-d amidst the soaring prices of South African UG2 chrome, which increased by $35/t w-o-w, and production cuts in the Ulanqab region. The bullish sentiment among the global ferrochrome suppliers is set to intensify with prices likely to surge higher.
