Melting scrap prices moved down by INR 100-600/t in major scrap markets in northern and southern India while in Alang market, it rose by INR 500/t owing to disparity between bids and offers amid rumors of increasing freight charges to different destinations in Gujarat market. Near term scrap prices may see minor corrections specifically in the Alang market, trade sources reported to SteelMint.
