Govt owned steel mill – SAIL conducted an auction for 1,000 t basic grade pig iron today from IISCO, Burnpur. Entire material was booked at INR 34,900/t exw, sources reported to SteelMint. Bids remained stable as compared to the previous auction conducted on 26th Dec. In another auction, SAIL-Bokaro offered three rakes of pig iron today but due to inactive participation, the auction closed with no bids.
